DND Spotlight: Megan

This is Megan’s second season with the Denver Nuggets Dancers (DND)!

As a native of Denver, Colorado, she is honored to be representing her hometown NBA team.

Megan has been dancing since a very young age and has always had a fun-loving side to her personality.

“I have been dancing since I was three,” reflected Megan. “My earliest memory is when I was three and my dance teacher spoke to my mom and myself and said I need to start being serious about dance. I was three years old.”

Megan brings her enthusiastic and fearless demeanor to the DND. Her positive attitude and charismatic presence truly know how to get the audience off their feet.

She has made many memories as a Nuggets Dancer and has had the honor of representing the DND at many charity events.

Megan knows how to balance on her toes, and balance her busy schedule. She is currently pursuing a Chemical and Biological Engineering degree, complete with a minor in health and a minor in Spanish.

“Calendars and sticky notes are my life! Without time management and organization my life would not be as successful!” Megan admitted. “I like solving problems and learning, and knowing someday I can give back and help others. I want to combine that with a minor in health and fitness and Spanish to make medicine for the wellness and fitness of others.”

When this ambitious DND is not dancing or studying, she enjoys spending time with her pets.

“I have two dogs,” Megan said. “One is a yellow lab and his name is Max, while the other is a white Maltese-Shih Tzu and her name is Marlee.”

You can find her listening to all genres of music from pop to R&B, but her all-time favorite music to dance to is hands down hip-hop.

Megan is grateful for many of her achievements and the countless opportunities to excel both on and off the court. You can always find her smiling or making others laugh, which not surprising for someone who lives by one of Marilyn Monroe’s infamous quotes: "Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
