How long have you been dancing for?
Probably 12 years.
Why do you want to be a Denver Nuggets Dancer?
I’ve just been dancing forever and it’s my No. 1 passion. Going to school, I went to school in [Colorado] Springs and there’s not a very big dance community, so I knew after I graduated, I wanted to move here and professionally dance. This is my third time trying out for Nuggets. I’m currently on the Denver Outlaws Dancers so it gives me a taste of what this would be like and I just don’t want to stop.
What do you think are the differences between being an Outlaws Dancer and a Nuggets Dancer?
The atmosphere is very different. For the Outlaws, we perform at Sports Authority, so we could have 7-10,000 fans there but it feels like 30 because the stadium is so big. And you’re outside so you don’t get to do as many technical things as you could inside on the court in a closed stadium while the fans are going crazy.
How do you think auditions are going so far?
I think it’s going pretty good. It’s hard in these kinds of situations because you always think you could do better, but there’s so much going into it – your nerves and this and that and the judges – I’m honestly doing the best I can.
How would it feel if you made the Nuggets Dancers?
I would just cry immediately. It would feel so good. It would be a dream come true. I can’t even think of it right now.
What’s something unique that most people don’t know about you?
I’m an ICU nurse.
