DENVER, Sept. 8 -- The Greg Buckner Foundation hosted a supplies drive and fundraiser to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The event took place in downtown Denver at Club Rise all day on Thursday, Sept. 8.
Along with Greg Buckner, Nuggets players Kenyon Martin, DerMarr Johnson and Nenê also came out to support the relief efforts. The players were on hand to help collect goods and funds as well as give autographs to the generous people who brought donations. Additionally, Martin has generously offered to match all money collected at the event.
The fundraiser was held in conjunction with local radio station KS 107.5 FM, which broadcasted at the event from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
