NBA TV's Ahmad Rashad hosts "Tuesday Night With Ahmad", which appears this Tuesday on NBA TV at 7:30 p.m. ET. During the show, Ahmad lets fans know what's happening and what's on tap in the NBA.

Ahmad took time to answer five questions about the new season.

1. It's a new season with a new co-host. Can you bring us all up to speed on what we can expect for Season 2?
We're excited to be back with a brand new season, with all the features fans have come to expect on the show. We'll have NBA news, highlights, interviews with the league's top stars, a look at the NBA's lighter side in 'Rewind', and the top ten plays of the week. But taking the place of Patrick Ewing this season will be Rick Mahorn, who played 18 years in the NBA, is now an assistant coach with the Detroit Shock, and is also the color commentator on Pistons radio broadcasts. I've known Rick a long time. He's not only informative and insightful, he also has a great sense of humor which will fit right in with the kind of fun we have on the show.

2. You once got to play with Rick and the Sixers. Rick even set a pick for you and you hit the jumper. Among your athletic career highlights, where does this play rank?
I played basketball all my life. I played in college and I always could score so it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was fun! I don't know anybody else that has scored in two sports at the highest level. I'm very proud of it!

3. Summarize Rick's NBA career in one sentence.
Rick was one of the toughest big men in the NBA, who also set some of the league's most bone-jarring picks, and his rugged style fit in perfectly with the swagger of the 1989 NBA champion Pistons.

4. What topics are you planning on covering with Derek Fisher and Tracy McGrady?
Among the topics we'll cover with Derek are what it's been like to return to Los Angeles, where his NBA career began and where he won three championship rings. We'll ask Tracy about the Rockets red-hot start, the influence of new head coach Rick Adelman, and Houston's prospects this season in the Western Conference.

5. Are we going to get a Finals prediction from you?
I'd have to say two weeks of the season is too early for me to decide who's going to the be in the Finals. Give me about a month, and I'll have it all figured out.
