Dec. 10--In the Miami Heat's 100-94 triumph over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, Pat Riley became the third coach in NBA history to collect at least 1,200 victories. Riley reached this remarkable total in only 1,842 games -- 248 faster than Don Nelson.
Riley led the L.A. Lakers to four NBA championships (1982, '85, '87, '88) and the Heat to one (2006). He and Nelson are only behind Lenny Wilkens for most regular season coaching wins all-time.
