DENVER, February 14 – Philadelphia’s Allen Iverson and Phoenix’s Steve Nash today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, February 7 through Sunday, February 13.


Iverson averaged a league-high 42.7 points on 45.3% shooting, 8.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in games versus Memphis, Toronto and Orlando. On February 12, Iverson recorded a career-high 60 points, going 24-of-27 from the free-throw line, while tallying six assists, five steals and four rebounds in a 112-99 win over the Magic. Iverson joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in Sixers franchise history to score 60 or more points in a regular season game.

Nash led the Suns to a 2-1 record for the week, averaging 26.0 points on 50.0% shooting, a league-high 14.3 assists and four rebounds in games versus Sacramento, Seattle and Golden State. In the Suns 125-123 win over the Kings on February 8, Nash recorded a season high 33 points and a game-high 17 assists.

Feb. 9 vs. Memphis: Recorded game-highs in points (38) and assists (10) and tallied six rebounds and two steals in a 98-95 loss to the visiting Grizzlies.
Feb. 11 at Toronto: Scored a game-high 30 points, while logging eight assists, five rebounds and two steals in a 106-91 victory over the Raptors.
Feb. 12 vs. Orlando: Recorded a career-high 60 points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds in a 112-99 win over the visiting Magic.

Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns
Feb. 8 at Sacramento: Had a season-high 33 points on 12-of-20 shooting, and a game-high 17 assists in a 125-123 win over the Kings.
Feb. 11 vs. Seattle: Tallied 25 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds in a 113-105 loss to the visiting Sonics.
Feb. 13 at Golden State: Recorded 20 points, 12 assists and three rebounds in a 106-102 overtime win over the Warriors.
