NEW YORK, Feb. 2 – The New Jersey Nets Jason Kidd and Minnesota Timberwolves Kevin Garnett were today named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, January 26 through Sunday, February 1.

Kidd led the Nets to a perfect 3-0 record on the road averaging 22.3 points, 9.7 assists and 7.0 rebounds per game, posting double-doubles against Philadelphia, Orlando and Houston. Kidd connected on a season-high 15 field goals against Orlando to record 33 points.

Garnett led the Timberwolves to a 3-1 record while averaging 25.8 points, 14.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.25 blocks per game. Garnett recorded double-doubles (points-rebounds) in all four contests, as well as a triple-double against Golden State.

Jan. 27 @ Philadelphia – Posted 13 points and 10 assists in a 94-76 win over the 76ers.
Jan. 29 @ Orlando – Recorded 33 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists as the Nets defeated the Magic 89-79.
Jan. 31 @ Houston – Had 21 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in a 88-77 win over the Rockets.

Jan. 26 @ Denver – Posted 31 points, 13 rebounds and four steals as the Timberwolves defeated the Nuggets 97-95.
Jan. 28 @ Golden State – Recorded a triple-double of 20 points, 20 rebounds and a season-high 10 assists, along with three blocks in a 97-90 loss to the Warriors.
Jan. 30 @ Los Angeles Lakers – Tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Timberwolves defeated the Lakers 97-84.
Feb. 1 vs. Philadelphia – Had 32 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks in a 106-101 win against the visiting 76ers.
