NEW YORK, January 12, 2006 – British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), the United Kingdom’s largest digital pay television platform and a leading sports broadcaster, has teamed with the NBA to present NBA Slam Dunk Monday, which will feature four live NBA games and one “NBA Greatest Game” on January 16. The 12 consecutive hours of NBA programming is the longest NBA telecast ever in the UK and will air on Sky Sports 2 from 18:00 to 06:00 local time.

NBA Slam Dunk Monday will feature the San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers, two of the four teams participating in NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS, the NBA’s most ambitious European basketball competition to date. The 2005 NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns will conduct training camp next year in Europe and compete against top European basketball clubs in seven European cities in five countries.

BSkyB has been an NBA television partner for seven seasons, carrying two regular season games per week, the NBA All-Star game, live playoff games, and The Finals live.
