New York Acquires Randolph From Portland
In the NEW YORK POST, Marc Berman writes “in breaking a 16-month trade drought, Isiah Thomas overshadowed his draft last night by obtaining star power forward Zach Randolph, who brings lots of baggage and lots of low-post scoring in his 6-foot, 10-inch frame. Before selecting DePaul sophomore small forward Wilson Chandler with the 23rd pick, Thomas made the Knicks a potential offensive juggernaut by dealing Channing Frye and Steve Francis to Portland for Randolph.”
