Spurs Sprint To Big Lead, Hold On For Game 2 Win
In the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, Johnny Ludden writes “the Spurs' three stars pushed the franchise one game closer to its fourth championship. Tony Parker scored 30 points, Manu Ginobili 25 and Tim Duncan totaled 23 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. With Robert Horry also finding some spring in his 36-year-old legs, it was enough for the Spurs to turn back Cleveland's spirited rally and hold on for a 103-92 victory. After winning the first two games of the NBA Finals, the Spurs hope they're holding a stronger grip on the series as it heads to Cleveland than the 29-point advantage they nearly squandered in the fourth quarter.”
