Suns’ Stoudemire Resembling His Old Self
In the CONTRA COSTA TIMES, Marcus Thompson II writes "Boris Diaw took a pass in the paint from point guard Steve Nash and immediately whipped the ball to Amare Stoudemire on Sunday at Charlotte. Stoudemire soared over Emeka Okafor, who entered Wednesday with a league-high 59 blocks, for a thunderous right-hand tomahawk -- so nasty that it provoked a wince if you saw the replay. It was a flashback to the freakishly athletic and aggressive player who used to take our breath away. It was a sign that the Stoudemire of old -- pre-microfracture surgery on his left knee -- is making a comeback. It was the last thing the rest of the Western Conference wanted to see.”
