Webber Asks Sixers’ Brass For Trade
In the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Joe Juliano and David Aldridge write “forward Chris Webber has talked with 76ers president Billy King about his reduced role with the team, and the Sacramento Bee reported on its Web site last night that Webber has asked to be traded. Coach Maurice Cheeks decided to keep Webber on the bench for the final 15 minutes, 45 seconds of the SuperSonics game on Wednesday, including the entire fourth quarter. It marked the third game this season that Webber has not been on the court in the final period.”
