Mercury Alive, Taurasi Sets WNBA Scoring Record
In the ARIZONA REPUBLIC, Dana Roark writes that "when the Mercury last played in Houston two weeks ago, coach Paul Westhead said his team would have to win nine of its final nine games to qualify for the playoffs. Since that loss to the Comets, the Mercury have gone 5-2, winning their past five straight. None may have been more impressive than Thursday night's 111-110 triple-overtime win at the Toyota Center in which milestones were set by several players. Phoenix's Diana Taurasi scored 47 points to set a WNBA game-scoring record."
