A few things of note in the first look at the mock drafts:

• Where available, heights are taken (with shoes on) from official measurements at the NBA's pre-Draft combine and are rounded to the nearest inch.

• While most (nine of 12 mocks) think Nerlens Noel will be the No. 1 pick, two mocks have Otto Porter going first and NBADraft.net has the Cavs taking Ben McLemore.

• UNLV's Anthony Bennett is going anywhere from No. 4 (four mocks) to No. 8 (two mocks).

• It appears Otto Porter won't last beyond the third pick. He's No. 3 on 10 of the 12 mocks and No. 1 on the other two.

• The one player prognosticators can't seem to figure out is UCLA's Shabazz Muhammad. He appears as high as No. 7, most commonly at No. 6 and out of the lottery completely on three other mock drafts (SI.com, Sporting News and Bleacher Report). He could end up being a true wild card of this Draft.

• No player is a true consensus, but Porter is most solid currently with 10 mocks projecting him at No. 3 to the Wizards.

• This lottery is a lot more consistent than last year. Ten players appear in the Lottery on all 12 mock drafts: Noel, McLemore, Porter, Victor Oladipo, Trey Burke, Bennett, Alex Len, Cody Zeller, Michael Carter-Williams and C.J. McCollum.

• Germany's Dennis Schroeder is a unique case in that he appears to be a consensus at No. 14 to the Jazz (in seven of the 12 mocks and appears in the lottery on nine of the 12 mocks), but gets passed up by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the overall standings because the UGA product appears as high as No. 9 on one mock and twice at No. 10, making his overall point total higher.
