NEW YORK, August 4 –- The NBA’s 119-game preseason schedule for 2005, featuring games in 32 non-NBA cities, tips off at 7 p.m. ET on Oct. 10 when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the MCI Center to face the Washington Wizards.

NBA TV tips off its preseason coverage on Oct. 14 as Shaquille O’Neal and the Miami Heat face the Memphis Grizzlies at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

National television coverage features two double-headers, beginning with two divisional match-ups on Thursday, Oct. 27 on TNT, as the Miami Heat visit the Orlando Magic at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by a Pacific Division match-up between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns at 10 p.m. ET.

Headlining the ESPN double-header on Friday, Oct. 28 is New York Knicks head coach Larry Brown, as his team hosts the cross-river rival New Jersey Nets at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Phil Jackson in his first game back as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, when his team faces its long-time rival, the Sacramento Kings, at 10 p.m. ET from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Other preseason highlights include: Andrew Bogut, the first overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, and the Milwaukee Bucks opening their preseason against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center on Oct. 12; the match-up of University of North Carolina teammates and 2005 NBA Draft lottery picks as the new-look Charlotte Bobcats, featuring Raymond Felton (5th overall) and Sean May (13th overall), take on Marvin Williams (2nd overall) and the Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 12 at BJCC Arena in Birmingham, AL; the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs tipping off their preseason against Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 12 at the Colonial Center in Columbia, S.C.

European-giant Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israeli League Champion 43 of the past 49 years, is visiting two NBA arenas this preseason, facing Toronto at Air Canada Center on Oct. 16 and against Orlando at TD Waterhouse Centre on Oct. 19.
