Summer League: Nets vs. Jazz (July 10)
ORLANDO, Fla.—Wednesday at the 2013 Orlando Pro Summer League, the Brooklyn Nets played their third game of the week, a 98-69 loss to the Utah Jazz at Amway Center. Guard Chris Wright scored 20 points off the bench, shooting 3-of-5 from three-point range and 8-of-13 overall.
"Chris has grown, running the team," said Nets coach Jason Kidd. "Today, looking at his game, he was aggressive and he made shots. I thought he played a great game today."
Before the game, general manager Billy King spoke about the team's moves in free agency, saying he expected to announce Brooklyn would re-sign center Andray Blatche and add point guard Shaun Livingston.
"It started with my interview with Jason (to be head coach) and how he envisioned our players, moving guys in different positions," King said. "I wanted to get a point to allow Deron to get off the ball, maybe Joe go to 3 so that as teams go small, we have the ability to go small."
