BROOKLYN (October 30, 2013) – November Starts Big for the Brooklyn Nets as they tip-off year two at Barclays Center. The Brooklyn Nets will play their first home game of the 2013-14 NBA season against the two-time defending champions Miami Heat on Friday, November 1. November Starts Big is presented by JetBlue.
New additions Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett give rise to the most talked about starting five in the NBA, while Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko add great depth to the bench. The Brooklyn Nets are asking fans: Hello Brooklyn. Are You Ready? for a big start to what promises to be a historic season.
As part of November Starts Big, opening night will be Brooklyn Nets Calendar Night, presented by Subway. Other special features for opening night include: the new Brooklyn Nets Beats drumline, which will perform pre-game on the Daily News Plaza and in-game on the court; face painting and balloon artistry on the main concourse; pyrotechnics during player introductions; entertainment from the Brooklynettes dance team and the Brooklyn Nets Kids dance team; and TJ the DJ spinning music during the game. Singer-songwriter K. Michelle will sing the National Anthem.
