Nets Announce New Executive Appointments, Promotions

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (May 16, 2005) The New Jersey Nets announced several executive appointments and promotions today in their business administration, said Brett Yormark, the president and chief executive officer of Nets Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the team.

Charlie Mierswa has been named the senior vice president of finance and business administration. Mierswa joins the Nets from Clear Channel Entertainment, where he had served as chief financial officer, and held previous positions with EMI-Capitol Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Ernst & Young.

Dan Lynch joins the Nets as vice president of media sales and broadcasting, in which he will manage the teams relationships with media partners YES Network and WFAN Radio. Before coming to the Nets, Lynch was director of multimedia sales at NASCAR, was director of sales for the New York Giants and was in sales for WABC Radio and WFAN Radio.

The Nets have named Christopher Brahe vice president of corporate sales. Prior to joining the team, Brahe was director of industry marketing at NASCAR, overseeing team sponsorship sales with companies such as Maybelline and GlaxoSmithKline.

Both Lynch and Brahe had previously worked for the Nets.

Other Nets appointments include Adam Lorber, director of corporate sales, from the Camden Riversharks; Todd Fleming, director of inside sales, from the Miami Heat; Brian Basloe, director of ticket sales, from the Cleveland Cavaliers; Josh Peikon, account manager, from XO Communications; John Baier, account manager, from the New Jersey Devils; Andy Gilleece, account manager, from Steiner Sports; Laura Castronovo, manager of research & database marketing, from Madison Square Garden.

We believe that we have assembled an all-star team of smart, creative and dedicated executives and managers that will help us achieve our goal of becoming a world-class sports organization, Yormark said.

The Nets also announced the promotions of Leo Ehrline to senior vice president from vice president of marketing and sales; Fred Mangione to vice president of ticket sales from director of ticket sales; Brett Fischer to director of ticket sales from account manager; and John Warnick to account manager from part-time inside sales.
