With the Nets win in Game 3, it marked the first time since the 1993
Playoffs vs. Cleveland that the Nets won at least two games in a playoff
series.
The Nets win in Indiana in Game 3 marked the first time since 5/1/93
that they won a road playoff game (Game 2 @ Cleveland).
Keith Van Horn recorded his first playoff double-double, finishing with
14 points and 12 rebounds in Game 3.
With the Nets win in Game 2, it marked their first playoff win since
4/5/94 vs. New York.
With the win, it marked only the second time in Nets playoff history
that they came back to win Game 2 of a series after losing Game 1 (5/1/94 at
Cleveland 101-99).
The 16-point victory in Game 2 marked the Nets second largest margin of
victory in their playoff history... The Nets defeated the Cavs 96-79 (17
pts) on 5/7/93.
The Nets tied a playoff record for fewest points scored by an opponent,
as Indiana scored 79 points in Game 2.
The Nets also tied a playoff record for fewest field goals made, as
Indiana connected on only 28 field goals in Game 2.
The Pacers are now 11-2 all-time in Game 2's in the playoffs after
winning Game One of a series... It marks the second year in a row in which
they lost Game 2 after winning Game 1.
Kenyon Martin recorded a double-double (15 pts and 13 rebs) in his first
career playoff game on 4/20/01... He had two double-doubles in the regular
season.
Since the 1976-77 season, the Pacers are 5-8 all-time in first round
series.
The Pacers have not lost consecutive first round series since 1991-92
and 1992-93 seasons.
This marks the first meeting between the Nets and Pacers in the NBA
playoffs.
The Pacers defeated the "New York" Nets in the 1972 ABA Finals.
