Viva Napoli!

Ciao Brooklyn fans! What an exciting time it has been for us in Naples! Today we embark on our journey back to Brooklyn. It has been such a pleasure to the experience the Italian culture. The food was delicious, the weather was great, and the scenery was unbelievable!

Just outside of our hotel was a breathtaking view of Mount Vesuvius. In our downtime we were able to walk the cobblestone streets of Naples, do a little shopping, and take in the beautiful surroundings.

I'm so thankful that my first visit to Italy included performing at the NBA 3X Tournament! The fans had such an incredible energy and were extremely welcoming. It was such a privilege performing in Italy, the country where my grandparents were born. Experiencing part of my nationality is something I've always wanted to do, and I'm so grateful that I was able to interact with the fans here and experience the culture. Sharing a taste of the NBA with Naples was so much fun, and we thank the fans here for making our first trip to Italy unforgettable!

Mi piace Napoli!

Ciao Brooklyn Fans, its Amanda! What an eventful past three days it has been here for us in Naples! We started the day with a delicious breakfast at our lovely lodge, and afterwards we set out to explore the city. We walked along the coastline, enjoying the breathtaking view of Mount Vesuvius from across the water until we reached the town square, Piazza del Plebiscito. Here we found fascinating boutiques with authentic Italian clothing and accessories. We also dined at a small restaurant for lunch, ensuring to fully indulge in the Kingdom of Pizza.

In the late afternoon, we arrived for our final appearances at the NBA 3X tournament. We were met with the largest crowd to come out all weekend, with countless fans gathering for the final playoffs of the 3-on-3 tournament. The moment we stepped out for the center court show, you could feel the tremendous energy from our fans radiating in the air. We rocked out our performances harder than ever before, hoping to leave the best impression yet.

The event closed with a magical awards ceremony, where we received gracious thanks from our fans all around. In return, we thanked all those who supported us during the occasion, including the staff and security, who worked their hardest to make certain we felt completely at home.

Sadly, this was our last night in Naples, so we chose to close the evening with a traditional Italian dinner at the castle across from our hotel, Castel dellOvo. Located on the water, we enjoyed a picturesque view of the city as we reminisced about the unforgettable moments of the journey. We reveled in a bittersweet ending to the evening as we walked home in the rain savoring every last second of our adventure. The city and people of Naples were so welcoming, and we hope to be back very soon!

Connecting with My Roots

Ciao Brooklyn fans! This morning I woke up to a dream. I looked out from the balcony of our Italian hotel, and I was left breathless from the beautiful view of the city of Naples. I took a second to take in this amazing moment, and I felt so blessed. From then on, my experience was only heightened. I have dreamt about coming to Italy since I was a little girl. My great grandparents are from Sessa Aurunca and Avellino, and I am so appreciative to have had the opportunity to experience my roots. I love the culture, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food!

After a delicious breakfast accompanied by two cappuccinos, the ladies and I took to the streets of Naples to do some sightseeing and to take pictures. Everywhere we turned, there was something beautiful to be seen. There are simply no bad pictures in Italy!

Later that day, the Brooklynettes and I performed at the NBA 3X tournament at via Caracciolo/Largo Diaz. Being able to speak Italian, I had the chance to talk with the fans during the autograph signing and they were AMAZING! They made us feel like rock stars. Their enthusiasm and energy generated such an incredible atmosphere, which stayed strong throughout the night.

I've had the time of my life on this trip so far, and I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings for us all. I have already had so many experiences throughout this journey that have left me speechless. You read about moments like these in books, and I am so grateful to have them come to life.

Abbiamo passato momenti bellissimi! Grazie Napoli per un stupefacente weekend! I will cherish this experience forever!

Brooklynettes Arrive in Napoli

Buon giorno Nets fans! Today was our first day in Naples, Italy, and what a beautiful day it was. The weather was perfect, and we were able to soak in some of the beauty and culture of the city.

We had a delicious lunch at Regina Margherita, a restaurant right on the water across from the island of Capri. The pizza and fresh mozzarella di bufala was one of a kind. Molto bene! We then went to downtown Naples for an appearance at Foot Locker. It was great to be able to interact and take pictures with the Italian NBA fans.

We're excited to see everyone come out for the NBA 3X event tomorrow! It has always been a dream of mine to travel to Italy. I'm so happy to be able to share this experience with the Brooklynettes and to be able to perform for the Napolitani.

A piu tardi Nets fans!
