BROOKLYN—Deron Williams had 20 points and nine assists, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Orlando Magic 97-77 on Monday night for their eighth straight home victory.
The Nets rebounded from their first two-game losing streak under P.J. Carlesimo, finishing off a four-game sweep of the Magic, who dropped their sixth straight.
Brook Lopez scored 16 points and Joe Johnson had 13 for the Nets, who tied a franchise record with their 11th victory in January and can break it when they host the NBA champion Miami Heat on Wednesday.Read the full AP Game Recap on NBA.com.
Reggie Evans grabbed double-digit rebounds for a team-high 18th time this season, his third doing so without scoring a point...Keith Bogans shot 4-of-7 from three-point range, leading the bench with 12 points.
Monday's home victory marks the Nets' eighth in a row at Barclays Center and also the completion of a season-series sweep of the Magic.The only previous time the Nets swept a four-game season series against Orlando was during the 2003-04 season...Brooklyn tied a franchise-high with its 11th win in the month of January, and is now 17-0 against teams under .500 at the time of the game.
