Nets Recall Shengelia and Taylor from D-League's Springfield Armor

Brooklyn, NY – The Brooklyn Nets have recalled forward Tornike Shengelia and guard Tyshawn Taylor from the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by General Manager Billy King.

In two games (both starts) with the Armor, Shengelia averaged 17.0 points on 55.6% shooting with 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 29.5 minutes per game. He scored a game-high 23 points in the Armor’s 93-74 victory over the Maine Red Claws yesterday. In two games (one start), Taylor averaged 9.0 points, 4.0 assists and 1.50 steals in 25.5 minutes per game.

In 11 games this season with the Nets, Shengelia is averaging 1.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game. In 17 games (three starts) this season, Taylor is averaging 4.9 points and 2.1 assists in 14.6 minutes per game.

Both players are set to rejoin the Nets in advance of tonight’s game.
