Nets New Jerseys Unveiled by JAY Z
The man who once rejected his jerseys to button up has redefined "fresh to death" with the NBA's newest uniforms. Brooklyn Nets investor and cultural icon Shawn "JAY Z" Carter proved instrumental in securing black and white as team colors, and nowhere are the stark contrasts of the timeless two-tone palette more evident than on the team jerseys.
The V-neck jersey, on sale now at netsstore.com and the Nets Shop by adidas at Barclays Center, debuted Friday night at JAY Z's sold-out opening night concert. "Brooklyn" arcs across the chest, all-caps, in a font inspired by New York City's subway signage, pridefully invoking the confident stature of its residents. The vertical taping detail features the bold herringbone pattern unique to the Nets' home court. At Barclays Center, the Nets will wear white with black trim; on the road, black with white.
Designed by adidas in collaboration with the Nets and JAY Z, the jerseys serve as the licensed collection's capstone product, one that signals the start of Brooklyn's Inaugural Season. Get yours and represent.
