MARIE ELENA CHINDAMO

BROOKLYN NETS AND BROOKLYN SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Marie Chindamo joined Brooklyn Nets in November 2010, as the Vice President of Human Resources, reporting directly to Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Nets and President and CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment.
In overseeing all aspects of human capital from policy and benefits to leadership development, Ms. Chindamo is responsible for employees of both Brooklyn Nets and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, the sales and marketing arm of the newly developing Barclays Center in Brooklyn. In building a world class organization for both the Nets and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, Ms. Chindamo has partnered with Yormark to build a culture of excellence.
Ms. Chindamo came to the Nets after a rising career with North American Airlines, in which she spent four years as Sr. Director of Human Resources. North American Airlines is a charter airline providing subservice for the United States Department of Defense, moving military to all parts of the world. Prior to North American Airlines, Ms. Chindamo spent four years as a director of human resources for Accor Hotels. Accor operates in 90 countries with nearly 145,000 employees, and is the world's leading hotel operator.
Some of Ms. Chindamo' specific accomplishments included writing and executing a comprehensive performance management program, writing and delivering leadership development programs, and strategically aligning organizational goals and objectives with human capital and professional development programs.
A native of Holbrook, Long Island, Ms. Chindamo earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Dowling College in Oakdale, N.Y., and then went on earn her certification as a Global Human Resource Professional (GPHR). She has taught the Global Human Resources preparation course at NYIT for two consecutive semesters, a course designed for senior human resources professionals with international responsibilities pursing GPHR certification. Ms. Chindamo is also a certified practitioner of the Insights Discovery learning system, built on the extensive work of Dr. Carl G. Jung. Utilizing the tools of this program, Ms. Chindamo delivers programs to enhance personal effectiveness, as well as organizational, team and sales effectiveness.
Ms. Chindamo resides in Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y. with her husband, Mike, and two children, Daniel and Juliette.
