Carlesimo Holds 1st Shootaround, Players React
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—Having concluded his first shootaround as interim head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, P.J. Carlesimo said the mood was good. Everyone handled things professionally – a big part of playing and coaching in the NBA – and everyone recognized that each individual needed to improve so the team could succeed. On his fourth go-round as NBA head coach, Carlesimo said the team wouldn't be making any "wholesale changes," largely because having worked with Johnson to develop the current system as lead assistant.
Players Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Kris Humphries also met with media to discuss the switch and the team's outlook.
