Rodney Buford suffered torn ligaments in his left ankle during the Nets/Jazz game on January 29, 2005, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. Buford will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. No surgery is planned.
The 6-5 Buford, in his fifth year out of Creighton, had appeared in 43 games for the Nets, starting 17, and had posted averages of 8.8 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in 24.7 minutes of action.
