Brooklyn Nets Sign Alan Anderson
Brooklyn, NY – The Brooklyn Nets have signed free agent forward Alan Anderson, General Manager Billy King announced today. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not released.
“We are pleased to add Alan to our roster, “ said King. “He is a versatile player who will add flexibility to our rotation.”
Anderson, a four-year NBA veteran who has played for two different teams, averaged 10.7 points and 2.3 rebounds on 38% shooting over 65 games (2 starts) last season for the Toronto Raptors. After starting his career with the Charlotte Bobcats for two seasons, where he averaged 5.8 points and 1.9 rebounds, Anderson would pursue a very successful European campaign with teams in Italy, Russia, Israel, Croatia, China, and Spain. Anderson would go on to win MVP at the Croatian Cup and Spanish Cup in 2009 and 2011, respectively. A Michigan State University graduate from the class of 2005, Anderson holds career averages of 8.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 135 NBA contests.
