Brooklyn Nets Players to host 'Fit Camp' in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN—Brooklyn Nets players Brook Lopez, Andray Blatche, Mirza Teletovic, Tyshawn Taylor and MarShon Brooks will host 75 youngsters in a 'Fit Camp' featuring Boot Camp, Step Aerobics, and Capoeira at the Joseph Miccio Community Center.
The Nets' Brooklyn Fit program, in partnership with American Dairy Association, Body Sculpt, and Sanofi US, hosts monthly health and fitness classes, taught by Body Sculpt instructors and nutritionists, to educate children on staying physically active while having fun. Brooklyn Nets players join students in activities such as step aerobics, volleyball, tennis, dance and Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music.
Brooklyn Fit is a community initiative under the Brooklyn Nets Assist Program. Maimonides Medical Center is a supporting sponsor of Brooklyn Nets Assist.
