BROOKLYN (October 4, 2013) – Brooklyn Nets Assist Community Week 2013, presented by Baked in Brooklyn, will feature exciting events highlighting the Brooklyn Nets Assist program’s four key pillars: Education, Athletics, Health & Wellness and Community Development. Beginning on Monday, October 7 and concluding on Friday, October 11, members of the Nets organization will participate in a variety of community activities and events throughout Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Nets Assist Community Week 2013 begins with a basketball and dance clinic for students from the League School in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. The school’s basketball team, League Lightning, will participate in a basketball clinic, while the kids who cheer the team on during games will participate in a dance clinic. Nets Super Hero BrooklyKnight and the Brooklynettes will be in attendance.
The League School’s clinical and educational program is designed to meet the unique emotional and learning needs of children with developmental delays.
