Brooklyn Nets Announce 2012 Preseason Schedule

BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The Brooklyn Nets will open their 2012-13 campaign with a six-game preseason schedule that includes four home contests, three of which will be played at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Nets General Manager Billy King announced today.

“We are pleased to offer the three preseason games at Barclays Center,” said King. “There is a growing anticipation regarding Brooklyn, and these pre-season games will give our fans a chance to sample the arena prior to the start of the regular season.”

The Nets will open the preseason on the road against Philadelphia on October 13 at 7:00 p.m., location is TBD. The team will return to Brooklyn to play the first ever basketball game at Barclays Center when they face Washington on October 15 at 7:30 p.m. and then travel to Boston to play the next night on October 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Brooklyn returns home for back-to-back home games against Boston on October 18 at 8:00 p.m. and against Philadelphia on October 19 at 7:30 p.m. The preseason finale will feature both of New York’s teams as the Nets face off against the Knicks on October 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island.

Brooklyn Nets season tickets are on sale by calling 718-NETS-TIX or logging on to brooklynnets.com. For the October 24 game at Nassau, fans can call Ticketmaster or visit the Nassau Coliseum box office.
