After an Off Day, Nets Return to Practice
Sunday, the Brooklyn Nets headed to the PNY Center for a pre-Super Bowl practice in which they focused internally, utilizing a three-day break to set aside Monday's session for external attention to Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers (Buy Tickets). Toko Shengelia (concussion) was out, while Deron Williams (sore left ankle) was limited.
"We were able to get in a good practice today, where guys really competed and we got a chance to do some Nets things," Carlesimo said. "Tomorrow, we've got to focus on L.A. But today was just a clean up of a lot of our own stuff, things we haven't had the chance to work on in a long time. When you have three days between games, it's almost the perfect scenario: you can take one off, work one on your stuff and then you can get ready for the next game."
