Hawthorne, NJ 8th Grader to Take
NETS All-Star Devin Harris to School

NETS and the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council
Present Fifth Annual Take-A-NET to School Sweepstakes

September 22, 2009

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—Michael Ulrich, an 8th grade student from Lincoln Middle School in Hawthorne, NJ, will take NETS star Devin Harris to school on Friday, September 25!

As the winner of the 5th annual “Take-A-Net to School Sweepstakes,” Ulrich, 13, will be picked up at his Hawthorne home (95 Post Ave.) by Harris and NETS mascot Sly at 7:30 a.m. The three will take the five-minute walk to Lincoln Middle School (230 Hawthorne Ave.) where they will attend Ulrich’s homeroom and 1st period class.

Ulrich’s 1st period class, along with Harris, will receive a 3-A-Day breakfast in the school’s cafeteria, courtesy of the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council. Each student in the class will also receive a NETS t-shirt to commemorate the day.

Additionally, Ulrich and his family will receive four tickets to a NETS 2009-10 regular season home game.

Ulrich won this memorable experience thanks to his parents entering the “Take-A-Net to School Sweepstakes.”

“I’m really looking forward to taking Michael to school,” said Harris, the NETS all-star guard. “I promise that I will get him to class on time so he won’t need a note from his parents.”

Research shows that, on average, Americans are eating only half the daily recommended servings of dairy. The American Dairy Association reminds families to get three daily servings of milk, cheese or yogurt for stronger bones and better bodies. Dairy provides nine essential nutrients, including calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, vitamins A, D and B12, riboflavin, and niacin (niacin equivalents).
