NETS Announce 2011-12 Season Schedule

NETS to Open 2011-12 Home Season Against the Atlanta Hawks

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.The New Jersey Nets will open their 2011-12 home schedule versus the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, December 27th, at the Prudential Center in Newark, as the team celebrates their 35th Anniversary in New Jersey. Game time is at 7:30 pm.
 
The Nets will face the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat twice at home, with the first matchup Saturday, January 7th, and the second contest being held on Monday, April 16th. Both games will tip at 7:30 p.m at the Prudential Center.
 
The Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks will make one trip each to the Garden State, with Boston slated for Saturday, April 14th and  New York on Wednesday, April 18th. Both matchups will begin at 7:30 p.m.
 
The Nets will also host reigning MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on Monday, February 6th, as well as Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, February 22nd. Both contests are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.

The Nets will also participate in four Sunday games at home, all against Eastern Conference teams. These games will be against Charlotte on January 22nd, Toronto on January 29th, Milwaukee on February 19th, and Cleveland on April 8th. These match-ups will start at 6:00 p.m, except for the Milwaukee game, which will tip at 7:00 p.m.
 
Deron Williams will lead the Nets against his former team, the Utah Jazz, on Monday, March 26th at the Prudential Center. This match-up will tip at 7:30 p.m. Other Western Conference teams scheduled to visit New Jersey include Oklahoma City on Saturday, January 21st, San Antonio on Saturday, February 11th, and the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday, March 7th. These games will all start at 8:00 p.m.
