December 19, 2011
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—NETS players Deron Williams, Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Jordan Williams, and Shelden Williams will bring holiday cheer to more than 250 families when they visit the Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Center at 20 New York Avenue in Brooklyn on December 20.
The players, who will be joined by NETS mascot Sly, will serve food, take photos, and distribute presents to underprivileged families.
“We look forward to bringing some holiday joy to these families in Brooklyn who are going through tough times,” said Deron Williams, the NETS starting point guard. “It’s important for us to give back to the community, especially during the holidays. We wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season.”
