EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Fan Appreciation starts at the Nets opening home game on Saturday, November 1st, when the Nets will team with concessionaire ARAMARK to provide free hot dogs to the first 10,000 fans at the IZOD CENTER. The hot dog and t-shirt give-aways are part of the Nets’ exciting opening night festivities when the Nets host the Golden State Warriors beginning at 7:30 p.m. Starting at 6 p.m., the team will host a free Fan Fest outside the IZOD CENTER, which will include interactive games, live music, entertainment, food and refreshments, and more.
As part of the in-game entertainment, the Long Island-based band “Show Me Action” will perform the National Anthem. “Show Me Action” was the winner of the Nets’ recent “Battle of the Bands” contest. In addition, the Nets Dancers and Team Hype will perform new routines, and the team will debut a new pre-game introduction video for the fans which highlights each player as part of the team’s Knowing Your Nets campaign.
“Instead of waiting until the end of the season, we want to show our fans how much we appreciate them right at the start,” said Nets CEO Brett Yormark. “We are excited about our team and believe we will surprise a lot of people. We hope our fans enjoy the hot dogs, commemorative t-shirts, and the entertainment at opening night and we look forward to a terrific season together.”
