Nets Sign Anthony Johnson and Donny Marshall
East Rutherford, NJ, January 28 - The New Jersey Nets have signed guard Anthony Johnson
and forward Donny Marshall each for the remainder of the 2001-02 season, it
was announced by Nets President/General Manager Rod Thorn. As per team
policy, terms of the contracts were not released.
Both Johnson and Marshall had been signed to consecutive 10-day contracts, with the first taking place on January 7, 2002, and the second 10-day contract signed on January 17, 2002.
The 6-3 Johnson has appeared in four games, averaging 1.3 ppg in 10 minutes of action. The 6-7 Marshall has seen action in five games, averaging 1.8 ppg in 11 minutes of playing time.
