Hi Nets fans,
Although our journey to Moscow was short, it was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences I've ever had. From the beautiful architecture to the hospitable culture, Moscow is a truly unique city that I'm so honored to have been able to experience.
Our Russian fans welcomed us with open arms, and I know I can speak on behalf of the Nets Dancers when I say we are so appreciative of all the love we received in Russia.
The NBA 5 United tour was a blast, and the crowd was amazing! The flight may have been a long one, but it was well worth it. We hope to visit again soon.
Spasiba Moscow!

Hi Nets fans! It's Pam & Taylor!
We're here to tell you about our third day in Moscow. We started by heading to the NBA 5 United event to perform.
The highlight of the event was meeting our Russian fans. They were so friendly and supportive.
Some of the Marines guarding the U.S. embassy in Moscow also came to the event. We took photos with them and talked to them about their experience living in Russia.
After our day of dancing was finished, we headed back to the hotel to get ready to go shopping. We went to a street called Stary Arbat where there were lots of shops and restaurants. After shopping we enjoyed an authentic Russian dinner. The restaurant was decorated with unique art from the owner. We learned about the Russian way of dining and enjoyed some traditional dishes like borscht and herring. It was truly a once in a life time experience. We loved every second of Moscow!

Hey guys! Dina here!
Our time in Russia has been amazing so far. Today we had the opportunity to perform at the NBA 5 United Tour. There were so many fans out supporting, and the energy was great. First, we watched and cheered on a few of the players as they competed in a Dunk Tournament. Some of the star judges were Dwight Howard, Andrei Kirilenko, and our very own Nets Dancer, Siobhan!
Then it was our time to perform. We had the chance to perform 6 routines for the crowd! At the beginning of one of the routines, we were joined by a surprise guest!
After dancing, we handed out posters and took a lot of pictures with the fans. The crowd gave such a great response, and it meant a lot to us to see how supportive the Russian fans were.
I am so excited to see what tomorrow brings! Talk to you soon Nets fans!

Hey Nets Fans! It's Jessica from Moscow!
After a ten hour flight we finally landed in Moscow. After we hopped off the plane, we went straight to work and had so much fun dancing at an Adidas event. First we dressed up in Adidas apparel pretending to be shoppers and when our music came on we started a mini flash mob. Everyone in the store was a little confused, but then they started to crowd around to see what was going on. After our first routine we took off our Adidas gear to reveal our real uniforms in order to let everyone know that the Nets Dancers were in town!
After our performances, we were fortunate enough to do a little sightseeing. We started at Red Square and took many pictures in front of St. Basil's Cathedral and the Kremlin wall. We also stopped at some shops along the way to pick up a few souvenirs. It's been an extremely long day, so we are heading in to get a good nights rest for a big day of NBA events tomorrow. Make sure to check out Dina's blog to find out what NBA players are here with us and to see pictures of the NBA 5 United Tour.

Hola Nets Fans! It's Bonnie from Mexico!

Today was a big day for us. It all kicked off with our appearance at the NBA Jam Festival. It was a long, hot day in the Mexican sun, but all of the fans here made it worth it!
We got to Paseo de la Reforma at 10:00am and headed right onto the snap court for our first performance of the day. I was surprised at how many people were here and how excited they were to see us. By the crowd's reaction, I could tell that their favorite routine was "Get on the Floor" by Jennifer Lopez. Our day continued with autograph sessions, picture taking with fans, and two more Nets Dancer performances. There were also basketball clinics, giveaways and prizes, and some amazing, high-flying performances by Acro Dunk.

My favorite part of the day was meeting the fans. It was wonderful to see all of NBA supporters who wore their jerseys to the event, especially those with Nets gear on! I enjoyed practicing the little bit of Espanol that I remember, especially when talking to all of the kids that came out to see us. I truly felt like the people of Mexico City welcomed us with open arms. When we wrapped the event at 5:00 this evening, I felt blessed and grateful for the opportunity to be an ambassador for the NBA and Nets.
With a long day of work behind us and our last night of the trip ahead of us, we decided to go out and celebrate- Mexican style! We headed to a restaurant called "El Lugar del Mariachi" to enjoy some local cuisine. While we savored the delicious food, we were treated to performances by an authentic Mariachi band and traditional Mexican folk dancers. It was the perfect ending to the day, and our trip. Check out photos of the trip here.
Buenas noches!

Hey Nets fans! It's Siobhan from Mexico City.

Today was another great day in Mexico! This morning we started off the day with a great breakfast and then headed off to the canals of Xochimilco. When we arrived at Xochimilco we were greeted by very friendly people and we took a relaxing boat ride down the river on colorful gondola-like boats called "trajineras." After the boat ride we spent some time in the outdoor markets along the canal. The stands were filled with handcrafted items, as well as jewelry and other souvenirs. After a little shopping, we headed back to our hotel to get ready for our first official appearance of the trip.
Our appearance was held at the Record, a newspaper dedicated to all sports. First we were interviewed about some of the places we had seen in Mexico City thus far, and then we participated in a photo shoot for the back cover of the paper, which will come out tomorrow. After an amazing time at the Record, we were off for a little more shopping and dinner. The area we went to was called Coyoacan. It was very crowded, but the shops were very nice and had a lot of interesting items. When we were all done shopping, we stopped for dinner at a restaurant on the plaza with an outdoor garden. Dinner was incredible and so was the day! Now I‚m off to bed to rest up for the NBA Jam Festival tomorrow. Can't wait!
Adios Nets fans!

Buenos Dias de Mexico City!

Up and out at 4:15 am, we got an early start to the day! I am so excited to have the opportunity to return to this wonderful city! When I traveled here with the Nets in 2008, I remember being struck by the energy of Mexico City - a vibrant, modern edginess grounded in rich tradition and culture. I am looking forward to experiencing the city with my teammates.
After catching up on sleep, we landed in Mexico City and were greeted by familiar faces from our last time here. It was so great to see old friends!
The sun was shining and we kicked off the day at an authentic open-air Mexican restaurant. Tacos, guacamole, five different sauces... I was overwhelmed by the variety of colors and delicious flavors.
Refueled, we were off to the historic sites. We spent time in Zocalo where we saw the Catedral, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the fountains, a break dancing performance, and even got some shopping in! Our touring wrapped up with a trip to Yogurtland. With over a dozen flavors, it was a treat that really hit the spot. We ended the night in the hotel watching the playoff games and enjoying time with each other.
I can't wait to see what the next few days bring... I'm sure the highlight will be performing for our fans at NBA's Jam Festival on Paseo de la Reforma! Hasta pronto Nets fans!

Triple OT & an Encore Performance

Hi Nets fans
Our last day in London was extremely memorable. We started our day bright and early, appearing on Soccer AM, one of the most popular live television shows in London. Also appearing on the show was Tom Heaton, a very well-known soccer player in the UK. Besides assisting with various skits, we also performed two routines which everyone there described as "brilliant." You can see a short clip of the show on www.socceram.com/soccerettes.
After the show we headed to the O2 Arena with Team Hype and Sly for a two-hour rehearsal. It was our last chance to perfect all of our routines, including our dunk show for Game Two against the Toronto Raptors.
I wish all of you back home could have attended the sold-out game. The energy in the arena was so high, and we were all pumped to show them what NETS entertainment is all about.
After what we thought would be our last performance, we were able to watch the end of the fourth quarter, to support the NETS players. Their determination to win led us into overtime, which gave us one more chance to do what we love most: dance.
The Raptors put up a good fight, but the Nets were not giving up. This was proven in triple overtime, with a final score of 137-136. I've never experienced a more thrilling game. What a great way to end our trip in London and an even better way to spend my birthday. =)
See you soon at Prudential Center.
Love always,
Jessica

Dancers and Divas Debut at O2

Hey Nets Fans, it's Dina here from London. Our time here has been absolutely incredible so far! After our long voyage, it was finally game day! We arrived at the O2 around 1 o'clock today, ready to rehearse for the game. During rehearsal we ran through our dances, watched and cheered on Team Hype, and ran through contests and events that were also taking place throughout the game. After we finished rehearsing, we enjoyed a delicious dinner as a team, followed by touching up and getting ready to perform at the game.
The time was finally here; it was time to show London what a great basketball game and entertaining show we could put on! Hearing the thunderous applause and cheers as we were about to perform kicked the adrenaline into gear.
The crowd was incredible, and the NETS Dancers, Team Hype, and Sly killed each performance. The night couldn't have ended any better: It was a NETS win! The final score was 116-103.
It's been a great day, and I am so excited for Game 2 tomorrow!
Talk to you soon,
Dina

Dunking Divas Put on a Show at the Mall
Hey Nets fans, it's Mandee reporting. It's day three of our journey in London, and we just finished our second appearance at the Westfield Mall. Today the Dunking Divas and Team Hype put on two shows.
We had to adapt our dunk routine to perform on the snap court in the center of the mall, because the hoop was slightly higher than usual. A little nervous, we started to warm up.
As we practiced the crowd of fans kept piling up and got us pumped to go. The debut of the Dunking Divas and Team Hype in London was memorable. We delivered two phenomenal performances and the crowd was amazed with our dunks!
Our appearance today got us excited for our performances at the Nets vs. Raptors games on Friday and Saturday. We are confident and ready to show our London fans what we've got!

A Trip to Old Trafford

Hey Nets fans!
We are having so much fun in London! Today, while eight Nets Dancers performed at Fan Zone, four of us traveled north of London on a train to the city of Manchester. We got to ride a first-class train and enjoyed some delicious English tea on the way.
When we arrived in Manchester, we only had a little bit of time to sight see before our NBA appearance. Our first priority was to see the Manchester United Stadium! I am a huge sports fan so it was so awesome to go to Old Trafford – the stadium that Manchester United plays at. Manchester has die-hard fans, so the locals were very upset about the loss the night before.
That evening we appeared at an NBA event at a beautiful sky-bar that overlooked all of Manchester. We were joined by NBA legends Darryl Dawkins and John Amaechi, who delivered exciting speeches about the upcoming NBA games in England. It was a really exciting event, and our English fans were so happy to get signed posters and pictures. After a long day trip, we finally headed back to London to get some rest for the hectic schedule of appearances, games and practices we have!
Cheers,
Christina
The 1st Performance & Some Sightseeing
Hey Nets fans!
It's Day Two and we're having a great time in London! Today eight of us had our first appearance at the Westfield Mall, which is the largest mall in Europe. While at the event, we performed two of our favorite routines: "Can't Touch It" and "Gimme That." We played games with kids from NBA Cares, signed autographs, and took pictures with our London fans.
After our event we were able to continue our sightseeing! Today's agenda included Buckingham Palace and Oxford Circus. We had the opportunity to see the flag waving atop the Palace, which means Her Majesty was home! Then we headed to Oxford Circus to shop! Today was amazing and we can't wait for rehearsals to start tomorrow. Talk to you soon!
Love you Nets fans!

Arriving Abroad, with an Eye on Big Ben
Hi everyone, it's me, Pamela! We just landed in Heathrow, and the past 12 hours have been nonstop! We had a home game against the Phoenix Suns and welcomed our new point guard Deron Williams to Prudential Center. It was an extremely close and exciting game!
After the game, we couldn't wait to get on the plane to London. We landed, checked into our hotel, and immediately got ready to sight see. We took a ferry that passed under the London Bridge, rode on the London Eye, and had the opportunity to see Big Ben and the rest of the city. This is my first time in Europe and I can't wait to see more! That's all for now Nets fans! Talk to you soon!
