Anthony Morrow Named to 2012 3-Point Contest

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—New Jersey Nets guard Anthony Morrow has been selected to participate in the 2012 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, the NBA announced today. Morrow is making his second All-Star Weekend appearance, after participating as a Sophomore in the Rookie/Sophomore game in 2010.
“The Nets organization is thrilled at Anthony’s inclusion in the three-point contest,” said Nets General Manager Billy King. “He has established himself as one of the top three-point shooters in the NBA, and we are looking forward to his performance.”
The fourth-year pro from Georgia Tech is currently shooting .420 (60-143) from behind the arc and his 60 makes are tied for third in the NBA this season. Morrow is second on the NBA’s all-time three-point field goal percentage list, shooting .443 (396-894) for his career, which trails only Steve Kerr at .454 (726-1,599). Morrow scored a career-high 42 points this season on 2/3 vs. Minnesota, connecting on a career-high 8-of-11 three point field goals. His eight three’s ranks second on the Nets all-time single-game three-point field goals made list. Morrow is first in the NBA this season with three 4-point plays.
