Nets Challenge Metro-Area Companies to Enter Tournament and Win Two Free Months of a Nets Sponsorship --Championship game to be held March 30 at IZOD CENTER-- Feb. 4, 2009 |
East Rutherford, N.J.--Nets CEO Brett Yormark is issuing a challenge to CEO’s throughout the Metropolitan area: Enter your company in the Nets Metropolitan Madness Basketball Challenge in March and win the grand prize of a free Nets sponsorship for the first two months of the 2009-2010 Nets regular season.
Sixty-four companies will be allowed to enter the basketball tournament, including 32 current Nets partners. The Nets will directly contact non-Nets partners, which the team will identify based on targeted product and service categories.
The winning company will receive two months of free advertising, including courtside television-visible in-game signage at the IZOD CENTER, as well as advertising on radio during Nets games and on the Nets Web site, www.njnets.com. Each company that competes in the Challenge will receive 25 complimentary tickets for a Nets game this season, which will include food and beverage hospitality.
In hosting the Challenge at their practice facility, the Nets will also be fielding a team of employees, but current and past NBA players are ineligible. If the Nets win the Challenge, the runner-up will win the free sponsorship. The championship game will be held at the IZOD CENTER after the Nets game on Monday, March 30, and will include Nets celebrities serving as coaches for the teams.
“In a changing economy and a challenging world, we’re always looking for innovative ways to interface with CEO’s of companies, and basketball is a great way to accomplish this goal,” said Yormark, who will be playing for the Nets team. “Metropolitan Madness serves as a lead-generation opportunity for C-level executives and fosters a business-to-business environment. So if you are a CEO and think you have game, I encourage you to email me at brettyormark@njnets.com.”
