Lefton Named Exec. Dir. of Ticket Sales at the Barclays Center

Leads 10-Member Ticket Sales Team

BROOKLYN, N.Y.Dan Lefton has been named as Executive Director of Ticket Sales for NETSBasketball at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Lefton will oversee the teams season ticket sales efforts, which will launch in the spring of 2011. The NETS have hired a 10-member ticket sales team dedicated to the Barclays Center.

In relocating to the Barclays Center for the start of the 2012-13 NBA season, the NETS will bring major professional sports back to Brooklyn for the first time since the Dodgers left in 1957.

Lefton has been employed by the NETS since 2007, most recently overseeing the teams ticket renewal and service efforts. He also oversaw the teams temporary relocation this season to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Prior to joining the NETS, Lefton served as Director of Corporate Hospitalityfor the Washington Redskins, was a member of the Premium Salesdepartment for the Detroit Pistons, and was the Director of Ticket Operationsfor Temple University.

Dan has a great knowledge of the ticket business and brings a crucial understanding of the New York marketplace, said Fred Mangione, Chief Marketing Officer of the NETS. As we prepare for the launch of our season ticket sales drive, Dan and his department are working with our marketing agency Translation in developing an integrated ticket plan for the NETS highly anticipated move to Brooklyn.

The Barclays Center will offer unparalleled sightlines for approximately 18,000 seats for basketball and up to 19,000 for concerts. Including the NETS, the world-class venue will host more than 200 events annually, such as major concerts, Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice and other family shows, top collegiate sports, monthly professional boxing cards, professional tennis, and more.

Steel began to be raised vertically for the Barclays Center in November 2010, and portions of the upper bowl are currently being constructed. The arena is on pace to open in the summer of 2012.

The state-of-the-art Barclays Center, to be located at Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues in Brooklyn, will offer 104 luxury suites, including 15 Brownstone Suites (16 seats each), 68 Loft Suites (10 seats each), 11 Cabana Suites, six Studio Suites, and four Party Suites. The arena will also include six clubs and restaurants.

The Barclays Center, designed by the award-winning architectural firms Ellerbe Becketand SHoP Architects, will be one of the most intimate seating configurations ever designed into a modern multi-purpose arena, with unparalleled sightlines and first-class amenities.

In addition to Barclays, the naming rights partner, the Barclays Center currently has 12 major partners, including: ADT, Cushman & Wakefield, Stolichnaya, EmblemHealth, MetroPCS, MGM Grand at Foxwoods, Willis, Jones Soda, Haier America, Phillips-Van Heusen, Anheuser-Busch, and High Point Solutions.

Located at one of the top three transportation hubs in New York City, the Barclays Center will be directly accessible by nine subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road.
