NETS Legend King Teams with National Grid to Revitalize Park
In Recognition of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—NETS Basketball will help to revitalize Kaiser Park on Coney Island when NETS legend and Brooklyn native Albert King and team representatives paint, clean-up, and plant trees and shrubs at the park TOMORROW, Thursday, April 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kaiser Park is located at 27th Street and Neptune Avenue.
A special ceremony to celebrate the day will be held at 10:30 a.m., which will include Albert King, National Grid officials, Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Julius Spiegel, Community Board 13 District Manager Chuck Reichenthal, and elected officials.
The clean-up, which is in recognition of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, is being held in conjunction with National Grid, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Friends of Kaiser Park, and Community Board 13. Overall, more than 70 volunteers from the NETS, National Grid, and Friends of Kaiser Park will participate.
