Kris Humphries to Conduct Basketball Clinic for Middle School
February 23, 2010
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—NETS Basketball forward Kris Humphries will conduct a basketball clinic for 60 students at Sojourner Truth Middle School at 116 Hamilton Street in East Orange, NJ on Wednesday, February 24, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. NETS mascot Sly will also be on hand to entertain the children.
The school was chosen to participate in the clinic after its students won an essay writing contest run by the NETS. The contest encouraged students from over 60 middle schools to submit essays that outlined the elements that make its school successful.
Humphries will run the clinic with NETS Basketball Development, which hosts basketball camps, clinics and programs throughout the season. NETS Basketball Development was created to foster relationships between youth athletics, schools, and community centers and to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and good health.
This marks the first in a series of clinics that NETS Basketball Development will run at local schools during the next month.
