EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—NETS Basketball will honor a quick-thinking 15-year old girl from Queens who saved a school bus, with nine children on board, from crashing when the driver suffered a heart attack and died this past August.

Rachel Guzy will be celebrated as the NETS Hometown Hero of the Game during an on-court presentation when the NETS host the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow night at the IZOD CENTER. Hometown Hero of the Game is sponsored by TD Bank.

The dramatic scene began when the 59-year old driver of the moving bus suffered a heart attack as his bus hit a car on a Queens street. The driver fell out of his seat and out of the front door, which he had kept open because of the hot weather.

Guzy, a counselor from the Magic Carpet Day Camp, rushed from her second row seat and pulled the emergency brake to stop the bus.

Neither Rachel nor the nine children were injured.
