NETS Star Devin Harris to Participate in a Karate Lesson
Third event of Passport to Fitness Program for Big Brothers Big Sisters

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—NETS Basketball star Devin Harris will take part in a karate lesson with 30 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morris, Bergen, and Passaic counties at TheDOJO at 52 Park Avenue in Rutherford, NJ on Monday, January 10 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will mark the third “Passport to Fitness” event of the 2010-11 NBA season. So far, Harris has participated in a fitness clinic and an ice skating lesson. “Passport to Fitness” is the NETS’ program that encourages youngsters to participate in fun fitness and nutrition activities. This marks Harris’ third year leading the program.
Through April, these 30 youngsters in the program, ranging in age from 10 to 17, will continue to participate in different activities, such as indoor rock climbing and horseback riding, as they learn various approaches on how to stay fit and healthy.
Participants in the program will receive a passport that will be stamped after each activity.
