Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass began the run by slamming home dunks and Paul Pierce converted a free throw off a technical foul on Johnson. Avery Bradley's midrange jumper then forced Avery Johnson to call timeout. Back-to-back threes from Bradley late in the quarter pushed the lead to 12, as one Avery forced another to call timeout twice in under five minutes of game action. The Celtics' dominant third quarter killed any momentum the Nets had heading into halftime, when Gerald Green sank an improbable three at the buzzer.
NOTABLE: The Nets jumped out to a 28-22 lead after one quarter, thanks to 8 assists from Deron Williams and efficient scoring from DeShawn Stevenson, Jordan Williams and Kris Humphries. The quarter featured a 21-8 Nets run...Williams only had 6 assists the rest the way and was out-assisted by Rajon Rondo 15-14.

On Philly's lineup change: "He's been active. Every game he gets better and better. He's catching the ball, he’s finishing inside. He's rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. Between Jordan Williams and Green and Morrow, those are three guys that we really are counting on coming off the bench and they've been pretty consistent." |
