Nets use 3-point barrage to beat Raptors
TORONTO The Nets (2-6) halted a six-game losing streak beating the Toronto Raptors (3-4), 97-85. Deron Williams (ribs) and Kris Humphries (shoulder) returned to the line up from injuries and powered the Nets for the win.

Williams scored 24 points with 9 assists, while Humphries had 6 points and 16 rebounds. Anthony Morrow contributed 24 points for the Nets starting in place of injured rookie MarShon Brooks. The Nets led since the most of the game, but a strong third quarter where Williams scored 12 points put the game out of reach. The Nets shot 15 for 31 (.484) from the 3 point line and took advantage of second chance opportunities.

ROOKIE WATCH: Nine of Kris Humphries' 16 rebounds were on the offensive boards. The Raptors had 9 offensive rebounds in total as a team. This was a key factor in the Nets outscoring the Raptors in second chance points, 28-8.

TURNING POINT: Jordan Farmar's 3-point basket with 2:16 in the third quarter punctuated a 13-3 run, which put the Nets up 75-61 and the game out of reach. The Raptors politely ushered the Nets to the free throw line where they shot 9 for 12 for the quarter. In addition, Deron Williams went for 12 points and 4 assists in the quarter.

NETS NOTES G-F DeShawn Stevenson, starting for injured F Damion James, chipped in 15 points, shooting 5-of-12 from three-point range...G Jordan Farmar added 10 points and 4 assists in 17 minutes off the bench...Every Net to play scored at least one field goal, except for C Mehmet Okur, who played only 3 minutes.
