Hawks spoil Nets' final NJ opener
NEWARK, N.J.—Marvin Williams had 14 points and nine rebounds and the Atlanta Hawks opened a double-digit lead early and cruised to a 106-70 victory over the sluggish Nets on Tuesday night in their final home opener in New Jersey.
Rookie MarShon Brooks had 17 points to lead the cold-shooting Nets, who looked tired coming off a season-opening win in Washington on Monday night.

THE STAT: The Nets shot 22-for-71 from the field and 5-for-21 from beyond the three-point arc. That's not going to cut it anywhere, let alone against a well-rested Hawks group.
HOT: The Hawks' bench: Reserves Vladimir Radmanovic (17 points), Zaza Pachulia (13) and Tracy McGrady (12) combined for 42 points, allowing Atlanta's starters to all play under 27 minutes.
