Explosive leaping ability…Very athletic…Unrivaled work ethic…Great touch around the basket…Gets to the rim…Strong finisher…Solid job of getting to the line… Exceptional passer…Good shot blocker…Huge Upside…Needs to improve outside shooting…Sloppy ball-handler…Very average lateral speed.

“He was impressive athletically there’s no question. You could tell though it’s getting towards the draft now, these guys have had ten or more workouts and I know Joe is tired. That was even more impressive. He came out and competed, shot the ball well. He is good.”
—Nets General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe

“We were joking he looked like me coming out there when I was younger but I could never jump close to that. He put his elbow in the rim a couple times. He’s a good shooter, very competitive.”
—Nets General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe

“Very impressive workout. Extremely athletic, great lift, looked to be in great shape. He’s physically strong. He did a really good job of competing throughout. I think you got to see some of the physical attributes that he brings to the table.”
—Nets Director of Scouting Gregg Polinsky

On the draft
“I’m really glad that draft day is almost here. I’ve been waiting for it for years. This last month has gone by really slow. It’s beyond a dream come true. It’s unreal. To be in an NBA facility working out with the possibility of playing for them, you can’t put it into words.”

On whether he would be disappointed if he fell to the Nets at No. 10
““No. Not at all. I would like to come here. I think this is a good fit. Ten is a high pick. I would not be disappointed at all to come here. Me coming on at the end of the season is why I’m in this position right now. I think the NBA does a good job of recognizing that.”

On his strengths
“My best asset is that I’m versatile. If this team asked me to be a defensive stopper I feel like I could do that, and if they asked me to sit in the corner and hit three’s I thing I could do that too. Whatever they need of me I feel I can do.”

On today’s workout
“It went well. We had a lot of competitive guys here and they worked us hard.”

On today’s workout as compared to others that he has taken part in
“I didn’t see anything new that I hadn’t seen in any of the other workouts. Every workout has their own unique feel to it.”
