Late second to undrafted.

Incredible combination of athleticism and leaping ability…Great slasher… Human-highlight reel…Very long…Potential lock-down defender…Solid rebounder…Not afraid to go inside…Very raw…Needs to be more mentally tough…Lacks feel for the game…Poor free throw shooter…Underachiever…Inconsistent.

“Great athlete. One of the better athletes in the draft in terms of runner and jumper. He has a very good motor and I can see him being in our league.”
—Nets Director of Scouting Gregg Polinsky

On today’s workout
“I thought it went pretty good. I played a lot of defense today, which I really like to do, so I was able to showcase that a little bit. It was pretty fun, an intense workout.”

On his strengths today
“I believe just playing hard, trying to bring a lot of energy. Basically what I try to do every day is bring a lot of energy, play hard and play a lot of defense. I felt like I did that well today.”

On how he sees himself fitting in with the Nets
“I'd fit in pretty good. I know they play an up-tempo game. They have a quick point guard, some wings that run the court pretty well. I think I fit in just because I play defense. I think I'd fit in well just by doing that.”

"Whether it’s soaring above the rim against Virginia, slamming it home with vengeance against Boston College, or hurdling over Paulus, Washington seems to inject energy into his team and the Hokie faithful with his high flying throw-downs." - Thomas Emerick, Planet Blacksburg
