NETS Dancers to Hold Open Auditions in BK & Manhattan

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—The NETS Dancers are holding auditions for the 2011-12 NBA season in two New York City locations, including, for the first time, in Brooklyn in anticipation of the team’s move to the Barclays Center in 2012.
Audition locations:
Sunday, June 19 -- The Ailey Studios, 405 West 55th Street at 9th Avenue in Manhattan. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and dancers must arrive by 11:30 a.m. to participate.
Saturday, June 25 -- Mark Morris Dance Center, 3 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and dancers must arrive by 1:30 p.m. to participate.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Dancers may attend either open audition
- Dancers must be 18 or older and have at least eight years of technical dance training
- Tumbling skills are a plus, but not required
- Wear fitted attire and non-marking sneakers or dance shoes
- Arrive in performance ready hair and makeup
- Select dancers from each open call will be invited to attend final auditions the evening of Monday, June 27 at the PNY Center in East Rutherford, NJ
